Limits on eBooks?

In the library world, a great controversy is brewing after librarians, who have spent thousands of dollars on eBooks, were informed that new purchases of Harper Collins audio and text ebooks will only be allowed 26 checkouts.

And this just in from Judy, our reference and instruction librarian, who was cleaning out an old cache of news. Surely it is pertinent!

Apple made deals with Macmillan, Simon and Schuster, and a couple of others. Also, HarperCollins is stopping production of CDs which seems a little premature.
